Bollywood’s artistic freedom has always been directed against the Hindus and Hinduism. Hindu priests are always shown in bad light be it OMG, Mother India or Toilet Ek Prem Katha. It is a fact that Bollywood industry is heavily funded by the underworld and it is one of the reasons why Bollywood always try to whitewash Islamic terrorism and always portray Muslim villains as some philanthropist. On the other hand, Bollywood has made numerous movies portraying cruel villains as Hindu man with tilak on his forehead. In fact, Bollywood movies have made tilak on forehead synonymous to villains and gangsters. In the movie ‘Mai Hoon Na’, a Hindu is portrayed as terrorist and the movie also tried to send subtle propaganda message that Indian Army kills innocent Pakistanis.
Nowadays, few Bollywood actors and directors are desperately trying to push the narrative of Saffron terror. Vinod Tiwari also intended to do the same through his proposed film ‘Zila Gorakhpur’. Director Vinod Tiwari has dropped his film ‘Zila Gorakhpur’ after facing a huge flak on social media. He released the poster of his proposed film showing a saffron-clad bald man, with his hand behind his back holding a gun and a cow is also standing next to him. In the background Gorakhnath temple of the Nath sect is also present in the poster. Reportedly, the movie was based on the life of the UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
The poster of the movie ‘Zila Gorakhpur’ has gone viral on social media and it attracted the attention of many people including senior state BJP leader IP Singh. He alleged the director of the film of maligning the image of the incumbent Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath. He also lodged an FIR against the movie director Vinod Tiwari at Vibhuti Khand Police Station in Gomtinagar on 29th July.
IP Singh tweeted a picture of the poster, circled the gun portion and wrote, “This is not only an attempt to hamper the image of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath but also the entire Hindu culture and the Nath community. I challenge the makers of the film to release this film. Such things would not be tolerated for gaining cheap publicity.”
pic.twitter.com/CVf1oi9VcS

He also tweeted, “Vinod ji, we will not allow this film to be released. It was an attempt to foment communal trouble and divide people to earn quick money and cheap publicity. We also demand to probe who was funding the film director to produce this controversial film.”
https://t.co/gtpsTA5koR

Regarding the controversy the director of the film Vinod Tiwari informed DNA, “After seeing reactions on the social media over poster released, I have decided to drop my new film ‘Zila Gorakhpur’. The decision to close the project was taken in public and national interest. I had no intentions to hurt public sentiments. The film was unnecessarily dragged into the controversy which was uncalled for as there was nothing controversial in the proposed film.” The director also clarified that the movie has nothing to do with the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath but it is based on the political rebellion in Uttar Pradesh. However, the poster of the movie altogether shows a different picture. Clarification of Vinod Tiwari seems nothing but just an attempt to play a victim card in order to gain the sympathy of the Leftist-liberal and Islamist cabal.
