The essence of Vedantic philosophy

Anywhere and everwhere the invading armies of zealots fanned by religious fanaticism were successful in converting the demographics of the local population but not India. India stood out as an exception to the invasions driven by religious extremism for the last 1400 years and continues to do so. The Sanatan Dharma has thwarted these attacks which have been compounded by the self loathing, left leaning, intellectually bankrupt liberals. The sole reason behind this is stiff resistance being the deep rooted Vedantic philosophy that one imbibes even without knowing it.
 

The Vedantic philosophy of the unity of the individual with the universe which has been the prime message of the Indian thought. This is what has driven the philosophy of “Vasudhev Kutumbakam”.

Bhagwad Geeta, is undoubtedly the torch bearer of humanity and conveys the philosophy of Vedanta.

It propounds that the knowledge of self is more important than the knowledge of the Almighty. It arms you with the skill and the wisdom to explore the questions that are beyond the realm of usual Modern day science.

Questions like what is that final piece of knowledge that i need to acquire or as to who am I or how to know the knower or what is the eye of the eye or ear of the ear or mind of the mind cannot be answered by the usual theorems of science because they are restricted to the exploration of the outer cosmic self and at maximum their impact on the outer self.

Vedantas go beyond the outer self and call the mere impact of the cosmological phenomena as just the glorification of ego. Vedantic philosophy explores the impact that these cosmological phenomena have on the inner self of an individual and their exact purpose of the life.

The purpose of life is beyond the acquisition of material wealth. The real purpose can be known only when we have the self realization which can be achieved by mastering Vedanta.

In Vedanta, the self of the Atman is greater than the God or the Brahma and it is this Atma which transcends all institutions, books, laws etc. In Vedanta unlike the Abrahamic faiths, one is free from the bondage to serve the Brahma. It is free even from this divine servility and no one is required to butter the Universal being for salvation.

There are no conditions attached for salvation and neither there are any earthly conditions attached to its attainment. It is the the unison of the Atma with the Brahma that is the ultimate salvation. There is no requirement of any saviour, messenger, prophet to play the middleman between the two. This is perhaps the only reason why non theistic schools of thought like Buddhism and Jainism could crop up in the subcontinent but nowhere in the Middle East which too has been the cradle of several religions alike. This is perhaps the reason why there are several ways to celebrate a festival in India and numerous manifestation of the same God. This is the reason why apostates are not beheaded in the Sanatan Dharma and why it has been bearing the brunt of the criticisms by the ‘self proclaimed’ reformists and ‘thekedaars’ of religion.

This is the reason why the practices that were not in consonance with time were outlawed by the Law of the land.

The Atma is gender neutral, value neutral and adjective neutral entity and at the level of Atma, no one is weak. Every Atma is free to assert his highest inner self.

God will stay merely an earthly illusion if you don’t go beyond your outer self and this is why the call to Vedanta is essential for universal peace.

Only Sanatan Dharma has the solution to the several ongoing conflicts and violence across the globe and that makes it all the more essential for everyone to promote the Vedantic school of thought.
